Lakeside at Monterey Co. Farm Day for Students

Lakeside Organic Gardens’ Food Safety Manager, Gary Waugaman, participated in the 22nd Annual Monterey County Farm Day. He brought his draft horses to the event and educated students about what farming was like before trucks, tractors and other modern farm equipment. 1,800 kids, 74 teachers and 360 chaperones. It is all about teaching children about where their food comes from. Farm Days are held three times a year and reach over 6,000 Monterey County students per year. We’re proud to participate year after year!
